Conveyor belts of this type can be applied whenever e.g. robots or other handling devices place parts in boxes or trays.
This application plays an important role in many sectors, e.g. in the plastics industry, die-casting and blanking sector, in automated mounting, welding and splicing processes or in the packaging industry in general.
The use and application make sense if the depositing process shall be automated i.e. the machine works automatically without intervention by the user for a longer period of time.
Belt Conveyor Type GL-HM 140
Straight Belt Conveyor
Highlights
For long and wide belts the underframe HM 140 is the cost-effective alternative to the type HM 010. In this case, the supports are attached laterally on the belt conveyor.
- Application and use as robot delivery belt, conveying/transfer belt, etc.
- Stable underframe, also suitable for multi-level belts
- Large height adjustment range, freely definable due to the stand heights
- Continuous angle adjustment to any angle between -60° and +60°
Functionality
The operator places empty cases, trays, boxes, cartons or the like onto the conveyor belt. The position of the cases on the conveyor belt is scanned via sensors (light barriers). A robot / handling device fills the empty cases provided. Once a case is filled completely, the conveyor belt moves one case position forward, and the filling starts all over again. On request, e.g. special holders for intermediate layers made of cardboard/plastic etc. can be attached to the conveyor belt. After each completely filled layer, the robot then picks an intermediate layer and puts it into the case (this serves the purpose of protecting the parts).
Additional control functionalities can be included.
