Task: Flexible and reliable separation of complex plastic parts

  • A manufacturer of high-quality plastic parts for the furniture industry requires a special separating solution

  • The parts cannot be separated on existing roller separating drums from MTF competitors

  • The separating solution has to be set up easily by one person without tools for different customer applications

  • The height adjustment area has to be 400mm in order to be able to place different granulators underneath the drum

Solution: Stable rectangular drum with flexible height adjustment

  • An MTF Rectangle Separating Drum Type 3 R7 B for complex part geometries leads to a 100% separating result for the customer

  • Since the unit is in operation at this customer, there is not a single complaint from their assembly concerning part/runner mixtures

  • Special carriage with integrated gas pressure column with footswitch for easy and comfortable height adjustment

  • The separating drum is mounted in their gravity point, so the inclination can be adjusted easily

  • Special chutes underneath the drum cage, designed to fit onto the different granulators and boxes

  • Rigid steel welded frame as a basis for the separator, adapted to the dimensions of existing granulators and boxes
