Task: Accurate distribution of plastic parts
Plastic parts are packed in a bag machine and are to be distributed into two large containers (lattice boxes) using conveyor belts
The cycle time is approximately 10 seconds for one bag
The bags are to be counted accurately by the conveyor belt system, a counting pulse of the bag machine is not available
Defective bags (potential-free signal) should be rejected and must not reach the good parts
Solution: Conveyor belt combination with ascending conveyor belt and small conveyor belts
Combination of an upstream, reversible small conveyor belt type IL for reject part removal, a Z-shaped conveyor belt and a reversible small conveyor belt arranged at a 90° angle for bag distribution into two large containers
Double light barriers at the belt outlet of the Z-conveyor belt for bag counting and simultaneous masking of the studs as sources of interference
All three conveyor belts are mounted on a stable frame with attached control system
Siemens S7 controller with signal light and inputs for light sensors for container query
Acknowledgement button on the Z-conveyor belt for container change
Signal exchange with the packaging machine via Harting connectors
