Linear Buffer with Pneumatical Cross Slides

Task: Conveying and buffering of metal springs in containers

Springs are produced from a moulding press with a rate of 30/min and shall be feeded into containers
Dimension of containers: 400x300x215mm (plastic-KLT 4321)
Weight of a filled container approx. ca. 10kg
A buffer for 22 containers shall be realised at narrow space

Solution: Small conveyor belt with pneumatic distribution switch and buffer conveyors

Combination of a small I-Tech conveyor followed by a pneumatical distribution device to divide the flow rate to two parallel containers.
The distribution device consists of acoustic sheet metal with a sandwich structure to avoid noise exposure
Two parallel mounted Multi-Tech conveyors type GL serve as buffer
The containers are pushed to the parallel conveyor pneumatically at the end of the conveying section
In order to realise safe transfers the containers are singularised prior to transfer point. For this a couple containers is trapped laterally by pneumatical cylinders
By means of photo switches different functions are detected (no empty containers present, container in position to be filled, buffer complete)
Controlling and timing realised by Siemens S7
Operating modes are displayed by a signal lamp in 3-colours
