In this case, medical-technical plastic parts have to be produced and buffered under clean room conditions. A 3-way reject chute serves to conduct the parts into 3 different directions:
-
Good parts are conveyed via an angled conveyor to a buffering station
-
Reject parts are discharged to the non-operating side
-
QA parts are discharged to the operating side
The reject chute is engineered completely encapsuled with stainless steel housing and integrated plastic flaps for directing the parts.
This provides a perfect lateral sealing in order to prevent deadlocks of small or edgy parts.
Of course, such a chute can be used for sprue separation. In that case the good parts are e.g. directed onto the conveyor, sprues to the non-operating side and QA parts to the operating side.
